The murders of Half and Susanne Zantop were originally thought to be a murder-suicide, as the crime scene indicated a high level of anger and hate. The police also looked to a love triangle, both theories were proven false quickly. The murderers left two military style knife sheaths were found at the crime scene. The police also had a bloody foot print, that eventually lead to Robert Tullock. Fingerprints from the sheaths were traced to Jim Parker and the duo fled Vermont, but they were quickly captured.
